Modifying Texts

Heroes V texts

General information

All text data is found in <game folder>/data/texts.pak archive. Changing any in-game text means that one or more files in that archive have to be modified. To translate the game into different language the contents of all files of this archive should be translated.

Once the changes are made, archive them into a .PAK file.

Note: Text files must be stored in UCS-2 LE BOM encoding otherwise the game engine cannot read them.
